Inclusivity Project

Project Information

Oregon State University piloted and distributed the first Inclusivity Survey during April and May of 2015. Students, representatives from various academic departments, the graduate school, and several student affairs departments worked together to create a survey in an effort to inform OSU's understanding of inclusivity on campus. The content of this survey is intentionally nimble in an effort to inform existing or emerging concerns as they arise on campus. The survey takes place every other year and during the opposite year, focus groups are conducted in an effort to dig deeper to further understand the student experience as it relates to inclusion and belonging, and how that differs based on identity.

Data is examined and distributed in a variety of ways as partners across all of OSU's campuses and centers strive to create more inclusive environments. In Summer 2021, Student Affairs Assessment will partner with Institutional Analytics and Reporting to develop the first Inclusivity Survey dashboard where campus partners can explore the data at their convenience.
