The High Promise Scholarship supports students — from all colleges and majors — who have financial need and show great promise for success.
The High Promise Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students in their second year. Students who receive the scholarship are not only receiving funding to contribute to their education, but they are receiving a vote of confidence from the university. This scholarship tells students we believe in them and their ability to pursue their degree.
We know that students are more successful in college when they have a broad range of support services. That’s why a key feature of the HPS is academic programming. Students participate in activities like check-in conversations, academic coaching, academic success workshops and Writing Center consultations. Our goal is for HPS students to continue the trajectory of academic success they began in their first year and identify new academic and professional opportunities as they work toward graduation. Donors, students’ colleges and the Office of Financial Aid partner to provide funding. With this bedrock of support, the HPS became a renewable scholarship in 2020.
You can show students that their hard work has been noticed and help them persist on their educational path by giving to the High Promise Scholarship.
