In effort to support your best work, the Division of Student Affairs and the broader Oregon State University community offer a number of professional development and engagement opportunities. These opportunities are an investment in you — to help you grow as leaders within the division and beyond; to support strong partnerships and provide space for shared learning; and to give you the topical knowledge that will enable you to effectively respond to student concerns and contribute to student success. Read about these opportunities for connection below and also review the division meeting schedule for events that prepare division employees to be effective responders, supporters and allies and division committees covering topics from youth advocacy to student health.

Common Interests Groups

These groups are casual, open to anyone in the division and provide an opportunity for folks to connect based on shared interests — like running, gaming and parenting. These are not university or division-organized activities. Reach out directly to group contacts for information. Please contact Erin Wirkkala if you are interested in starting a group.
